The task force has been instructed to propose ways of tightening liability for violation of election laws, providing better protection of self-determination and enhancing transparency, the prime minister's press service said on Friday.
According to the press release, the task force will be headed by first deputy chancellor of the prime minister's office Jurgita Šiugždinienė and include officials from law-enforcement institutions, the Central Electoral Commission, the prime minister's service, ministries of Justice and Interior Affairs, and Vilnius University's Law Faculty.
Conclusions of the task force are expected by 28 November.
