Once again about the participation of Lithuania’s leaders in the European Council

For a few weeks now, Lithuania has been discussing who should represent the country in the European Council (EC), an institution where strategic issues are decided by EU leaders (prime ministers or presidents, depending on the country's constitution).

It seems that the topic has already been discussed in some detail and it remains to be seen whether the political competition between the ruling Seimas and the President will continue. It is worth noting, however, what is directly related to the country's European policy-making and representation in the EU institutions, but which has remained in the margins of this debate.
