Six millionaires in Lithuanian government

There are six millionaires in the cabinet of Social Democratic Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, according to income and property declaration reports for 2012.

Representing the ruling Labor Party, Minister of Culture Šarūnas Birutis and his wife Rasa have combined assets of 4 million litas (EUR 1.16 million).

The worth of the family of Minister of Energy Jaroslav Neverovič of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania are worth 2.628 million litas.

Social Democratic Minister of National Defense, Juozas Olekas, stated in his declaration that he and his wife have assets worth 1.290 million litas.

Social Democratic Minister of Justice Juozas Bernatonis and his wife's assets are worth 1.593 million litas.

Social Democratic Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius owns assets worth 1.074 million litas.

Minister of the Interior Dailis Alfonsas Barakauskas of the ruling Order and Justice party and his wife have assets worth 1.432 million litas.

Meanwhile the assets of Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius and his wife do not exceed one million and stand at 974,000 litas.
