The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada will be meeting with Tsikhanouskaya in Vilnius

During his official visit to Lithuania on Friday, October 16, the Honourable François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada will meet with Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.

After official visits to Greece, Austria and Belgium earlier this week, on Friday Minister Champagne will meet with his Lithuanian counterpart, Minister Linas Linkevičius. At Canada’s initiative, he will also participate in a meeting of the Baltic Group with the Foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia. The purpose of the Minister's visit to Europe is to meet with key European partners to discuss how the international community can address the situations in Belarus, Nagorno-Karabakh and the Eastern Mediterranean.
