V. Bakas evokes illegal monitoring scandal – did only he know and why reveal only now?

Seimas National Security and Defence Committee (NSGK) chairman Dainius Gaižauskas of the “Farmers” says that he knows nothing about the information, based on which former NSGK chairman Vytautas Bakas is proposing to perform an investigation in parliament on potentially illegal actions by a state institution. D. Gaižauskas questions why his colleague only spoke up about this now, despite knowing about the inappropriate actions already a year ago. V. Bakas explains that he only now received answers from the Prosecutor General’s Office and implies that he did not share the material about potential illegal information gathering with anyone because it was intended for his eyes only.
