This year, around 2.57 million people will have the voting right to elect a new Seimas. In October 2008, the number of voters was almost 2.7 million.

Lithuania's Central Electoral Commission is scheduled to announce the final voter lists next week. They will then be handed over to regional electoral commission and the latter will subsequently distribute the lists among district electoral commissions.
