Berlin to host first congress of Lithuanian students in Germany

The Lithuanian Youth Union in Germany is holding the first congress of Lithuanian students in Berlin on Saturday.

The congress will include discussions with businesspeople, artists, diplomats, lectures and seminars held by specialists in various areas, the Foreign Ministry has announced.

Deimantė Dokšaitė, editor-in-chief of the publication Lithuanian in the World, has been invited to the event to analyze the foreign-based Lithuanian-language media and the image of Lithuanians living or studying abroad in the Lithuanian press.

Lithuanians working in large enterprises in Germany will present career opportunities in the public and private sector, as well as popular professional and social networks.

Topics to be dicsussed in the congress include social business, its concept and role in social and political problems.

The event will hold idea and project workshops. Writers and journalists will share their professional and artistic know-how.
