Lithuanian dairy products continue to export their products to Russia, with no problems reported, the head of Lithuania's food safety watchdog has said on Monday.

"(Trucks with products from) Utenos Pieninė, Rokiškio Sūris and Žemaitijos Pienas have physically left. Everything is moving as usual. The customs offices have no official warnings," Jonas Milius, the director of the Lithuanian State Food and Veterinary Service, told BNS.

The Russian consumer protection watchdog Rospotrebnadzor announced on its website on Monday that it had instructed the customs office not to allow Lithuanian dairy products into the country, citing "weakened quality controls" in Lithuania as the reason.

It mentioned Pieno Žvaigždės and Rokiškio Sūris, as well as a subsidiary of Žemaitijos Pienas, among the Lithuanian dairy companies whose products allegedly do not meet the requirements.
