In an interview to Lietuvos Žinios daily published on Wednesday, the MP said that bilateral relations should be equal and based on mutual respect.
"Lithuania can be the bridge that will help improving Russia's ties with the European Union. On the other hand, if Russia wants friendly relations with Lithuania, we're open to that but – let me repeat – mutual respect has to be maintained," said the MP, formerly the rector of Vilnius University.
"I would like to restate what I've already said – the compensation of the damages caused by the Soviet occupation remains on the agenda of the relations with Russia," the daily cited Juodka as saying.
