The Jewish Community of Lithuania will present the Lithuanian-language version of Ponary Diary, a publication written by Polish journalist Kazimierz Jakowicz, and a documentary titled Hostages: July of 1941.
Ponary Diary, which tells about mass killings of Jews in Paneriai, a Vilnius neighborhood, during the Nazi occupation, is widely known across the globe. It was published in the Polish language in 1999 and was later translated into Hebrew, German, and English.
In tribute to the heritage of Jews who lived in the territory of the Great Duchy of Lithuania, the Vilnius Jewish Culture and Information Center will open a photograph exhibition on Litvak Heritage in Belarus.
