Lithuanian actor Regimantas Adomaitis awarded by Armenia's Prime Minister

Armenia’s PM Tigran Sargsyan received a Lithuanian delegation, which is currently in the capital Yerevan within the framework of the “Armmono” 10th Annual International Theater Festival. The delegation included a renowned Lithuanian actor Regimantas Adomaitis, News.am reports.

Welcoming the guests, Sargsyan noted: “Regimantas Adomaitis is a legend in Armenia. There is a special connection between you and Armenia. It is my pleasure to welcome you in Armenia.” 

Afterwards, the parties discussed cultural cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania, and reflected on ongoing programs. Prime Minister Sargsyan underscored the signing of the “Agreement Between the Government of Armenia and the Government of Lithuania in the Field of Culture.”

The delegates also exchanged views on the establishment of  democratic values and the formation of a civil society in the two countries, both of which were part of the USSR. 

And on the occasion of Regimantas Adomaitis’ 75th birthday as well as for his considerable merit in world and Lithuanian cinema, Tigran Sargsyan awarded the Lithuanian actor with the “Prime Minister of Armenia Commemorative Medal.”     

The “Armmono” 10th Annual International Theater Festival of mono performances takes place in Yerevan between 29 February and 5 March.
