Lithuanian chief of defense pays visit to US

He is scheduled to meet with NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Transformation General Jean-Paul Palomeros, General Martin E. Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States, Major General Wesley E. Craig, commander of the Pennsylvania National Guard, Governor of Pennsylvania Tom Corbett, and other high-ranking NATO and US commanders and officials, Lithuania's Ministry of National Defense has announced on Tuesday.

The meetings will focus on Lithuanian-American cooperation in international operations as well as in the fields of military development and tactical training.

The chief of defense of Lithuania is also scheduled to visit US military units and military training institutions.

Pocius will return to Lithuania on 24 October.
