"I have noticed recently in conversations with EU leaders and other Baltic prime ministers, as well as in various forums, that today the situation is being taken really very seriously," he told the Žinių Radijas radio station.
Kubilius said that while there is no need to panic, one must understand that the eurozone is faced with many trials and tribulations.
"Following the 2009 crisis, we in Lithuania and the Baltic countries are quite well prepared for all kinds of shocks, but the government cannot be so carefree as to say that no shocks will affect us," he said.
On 17 June, Greece is holding general elections, the outcome of which may determine whether or not the country stays in the eurozone.
The EU and its international partners hope that Greece will be able to form a workable majority government so that Athens could receive a 237-billion-euro bailout agreed upon in March.
