Deeper posted record net profits in 2019, reaching 1.273 million euro. After reforming and improving the company’s operations, it returned to prior levels. In 2017, Deeper had net profits of 1.132 million euro, while in 2018, it had dropped to 35 thousand euro.
“The basis of Deeper’s growth was very focused and earnest work by the team. In Lithuania, we have assembled robust engineering, programming, sales and marketing specialist team. We are not only creating a product for the global market, which leads in its market segment but also successfully sell it in most of the key global markets. This is successfully achieved by our Vilnius-based international team,” Vilius Juraitis, the director of Deeper, said, thanking his team.
In 2019, work with Deeper distributors operating in foreign markets was reformed. They became more involved with product marketing and increased sales capacities in most international markets.
“We see direct links between fishers’ satisfaction with Deeper and operations results. Last year, the Deeper metric, which measures customer satisfaction, NPS (Net Promoter Score) grew. We placed much attention on this area and respectively saw improvement in the results of operations,” V. Juraitis stated.
According to him, they also started measuring evaluating a very important metric within the company eNPS (Employee Net Promoter Score). Without the involvement and work satisfaction, it is not possible to present good products and services.
The new generation Deeper Chirp+ sonar granted momentum to Deeper’s sales growth. It is the world’s first castable, GPS enabled, Wi-Fi fish finder that utilizes CHIRP technology. The new technology allows the transfer of high visual quality imagery.
Thus far, this technology has been adopted only in sonars placed on boats; however, Deeper managed to implement it in more convenient, castable equipment. Furthermore, energy supply problems were also resolved – the CHIRP technology in Deeper sonars conserves energy very well.
“The CHIRP technology is the most advanced that castable sonars can offer and the qualitative jump afforded by the new Deeper model is massive. Fishers are already actively replacing their older models to the newest. We do not plan any new models of the equipment this year; however, we are preparing a new software service. We are excited to present this novelty to fishermen, it is to become yet another engine of growth for Deeper,” V. Juraitis stated.
Deeper offers fishers several models of smart sonar, a special app, fishing accessories and the bathymetry control platform Lakebook. Deeper sonars can currently be purchased in more than 50 countries, and the accompanying app has already been downloaded over 2 million times. The company employs over 60 specialists.
