Sveiki Lietuva! Zalando welcomes Lithuanian customers giving them access to the largest fashion assortment in the market

Zalando, Europe's leading online platform for fashion and lifestyle, launches in Lithuania today, becoming the first country in the Baltic region where customers can access the largest fashion assortment in the market combined with unmatched convenience in delivery, payments and returns. With the Zalando platform becoming available in Lithuania, customers can now shop loved and highly sought-after brands such as Topshop and Lindex directly from their devices, among many others.

  • Zalando brings loved and desired brands to customers in Lithuania with the launch in the country as well as in two other European markets, creating growth opportunities for existing and new brand partners
  • Lithuanian customers can now enjoy home and locker delivery of their Zalando order in 200 stations across the country thanks to cooperation with partner Itella
  • The expansion marks another milestone for Zalando to be the Starting Point for Fashion in Europe

Local customers will benefit from free deliveries and free returns for up to 30 days after purchase, truly bringing the fitting room to their homes, and experience the Zalando platform, including pre and post-purchase customer support, in Lithuanian. Thanks to a cooperation with Itella, Lithuanian customers can receive their parcels in 2 to 5 days selecting their preferred option: home or locker delivery, making use of the 200 Itella stations across the country. Also, they can choose the payment options that suit them best: from cash on delivery to online bank transfer via Trustly as well as credit and debit card and Paypal.

Lisa Miczaika, Vice President Central Europe at Zalando: “We are very excited to welcome customers in Lithuania, opening up the Zalando universe to them. We strive to bring Lithuanian customers the most exciting fashion choices combined with the best convenience proposition and experience in their market in order to become their Starting Point for Fashion.”

The expansion to Lithuania also represents additional growth opportunities for brands. Existing brand partners that already operate internationally via the Zalando platform will be able to connect with millions of potential new customers and start to build deep and strong relationships. Local brands can apply to join Zalando’s Partner Program and start selling their products online across Europe via the platform. This way Zalando is supporting the local industry growth and its internationalization while complementing the brands’ digital strategies.

Over the course of the next few weeks, Zalando will launch localized social-first marketing initiatives with local influencers and partners in Lithuania to engage with new customers in a relevant and meaningful way.

Today, Zalando also launches in Slovakia and Slovenia and will further expand to Croatia, Estonia and Latvia this year, as well as to Hungary and Romania in 2022.
