The Aspark Owl (Japanese: アスパーク OWL). is an all-electric battery-powered sports car manufactured by Japanese engineering firm Aspark (アスパーク).
The 1985bhp Owl can achieve 0-60mph in 1.69sec - around 0.6sec faster than a Tesla Model S P100D. This rapid acceleration is delivered by four permanent magnet motors, which generate approximately 1475lb ft of torque.
The fastest electric hypercar
Aspark Owl is the fastest full-electric hypercar in the world: from 0 to 60 mph in less than 1.7 seconds.
The claimed top speed is 249 mph, and a run from a stop to 186 mph requires a mere 10.6 seconds. The machine packs a 64-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that provides a claimed range of 280 miles in the NEDC test. Aspark says that a larger battery could be available in the near future.
Car manufacturing and engineering
Founded in 2005 in Osaka, Japan, today Aspark has more than 25 offices and 3,300 employees in the world.
