Bootes Void- without a doubt the darkest, loneliest and largest place in the universe with the exception, perhaps, of the cold spot. Boötes Void is an enormous expanse of empty space in the middle of the Boötes constellation- extended 330,000,000 light years. But why is it so dark? Where is everything? Why are there trillions of stars unaccounted for? Could it be... aliens? Whatever the answer, that's what we're going to be diving into today- so get ready!

If you made it down this far... here's a piece of food for thought I heard the other day. We believe in all of our theories currently- the Big Bang, the uniform distribution, the Theory of Relativity, etc. But there are sly, subtle indications from anomeles, such as black and white holes- and indeed this void, that suggest we may be wrong. It makes you wonder- back in the Dark, Middle and Victorian ages- everybody believed in their own theories and thought they were correct. 100 years from now potentially, our understanding of science might be completely different- with new answers for everything. It makes you wonder what the truth really is...
