The Chengdu J-20 (殲-20) is a stealth, twinjet, fifth-generation fighter aircraft developed by China's Chengdu Aerospace Corporation for the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF). The J-20 made its first flight on 11 January 2011, and started in service in 2016.
China has raced to develop its next-generation stealth fighter in a bid to rival the Lockheed Martin F-22 and F-35 Lightning II of the U.S.
