Underground hacker markets have everything you might want, from stolen credit cards to stolen passwords. A boutique forum recently uncovered by Kaspersky Lab focuses on access to hacked government, corporate, and university servers.
Kaspersky researchers, working with a European ISP, discovered the trading forum xDedic essentially renting out space on more than 70,000 hacked servers in 173 countries, for as little as $6 and $8 apiece. These servers are a criminal's paradise. They can use these servers in order to spam, use credit card numbers, read emails, or simply as a star off poing to compromise other systems on the same network.
