Adam Gazzaley shares the result of his lab's research into how new technologies, such as video games, might be used to enhance the functioning of the brain. He shows how within ten years, doctors may be prescribing video games and other technologies to treat such conditions as Parkinson's Disease, Schizophrenia, or Addiction. His lab’s most recent studies explore neuroplasticity and how we can optimize our cognitive abilities via engagement with custom-designed video games, and how this can be bolstered by closed loop systems using neurofeedback and transcranial electrical stimulation. He has filed multiple patents based in his research, authored over 110 scientific articles, and delivered over 425 invited presentations around the world.
