Russian Woodpecker simulation, 3.1 msec pulse, 90 msec PRI, 10000 kHz cf, 190 kHz bandwidth

2016-05-03 17:11
This is a simulation of the now defunct Russian Woodpecker transmitter made with a signal generator for the purposes of describing the noise issue associated with that system. It uses the same pulse width (3.1 msec) and pulse rep frequency (about 10 Hz, 90 msec pulse repetition interval) as the most common mode of the Woodpecker. However, it does not incorporate the pulse compression technique used so it is actually more narrow banded than the original. In particular this was done to demonstrate that the signal would still be heard 90+ kHz off of center frequency.
