We look back at the 33rd World Logging Championship held from 2 to 5 August 2018 in Lillehammer, Norway. More than 120 participants from 27 nations competed in the five disciplines: tree felling, fitting another chain, bucking by combined cuts, precision bucking and limbing.
STIHL athletes pocketed three wins: Marco Trabert (Germany) came out on top of the competition in the professional division, while Thomas Schneider (Germany) became the new U24 world champion. In the team division, the athletes from Belarus brought home victory.
STIHL was a sponsor of the World Logging Championship this year as well. For more information about the disciplines of the World Logging Championship, visit our blog: https://blog.stihl.com/stihl-worldwide/2014/08/world-logging-championships-overview-disciplines/
