Tesla's biggest secret in the Model Y has now been revealed. It's something you would never see either. The heat pump. Tesla has always used resistance heaters in their cars, S-X-3. However they have switched to a heat pump for the Model Y. The biggest reason, efficiency. Heat pumps are 3 times more efficient than a resistance heater! Quite impressive to say the least and will definitely allow people in colder climates to get the most range out of their battery as possible while staying comfortable inside the cabin.
