directors statement:
I have always been interested in exploring social borders and marginal groups, I might even relate my work to experimental anthropology and research.
I am particularly inspired by East European culture, everyday life, amateur artists and inventors.
The pole dancer by herself might not be a new topic, but my goal was to cut all the sexuality out, leaving the body as anatomical object only.
You will probably never see a pole dancer in stripclub dancing by this kind of music. The technology this video was made with, cuts the body of the dancer out in this way it looses its sexuality and the mission to seduce.
The mixture of the genres and technologies was one of the most important things in creating this video - while mixing, new combinations are born.
This video was shot with many old Zenit photocameras, shooting simultaneusly from different angles.
