12mm fiber positioner prototype robots for the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). The instrument will contain 5000 identical robots, each automatically targeting an individual galaxy. The instrument will operate on the Mayall telescope at Kitt Peak, Arizona. http://desi.lbl.gov
