Recorded at Grupo Excursionista Recreativo Os Amigos do Minho, in Lisbon's old neighborhood Mouraria.
Funded in 1950, the association Grupo Excursionista Recreativo Os Amigos do Minho is now closed due to the selling of its venue. Since January 2018, this space, like many others in Lisbon’s historical downtown area, is no longer active, loosing its social and historical meaning.
Considering the importance of these associations to the city’s human and cultural fibre, we ask to those that live, love or are just passing through Lisbon to become aware of this issue and speak up.
For the urgent regulation of massive tourism, against ruthless gentrification: LISBON, WAKE UP!
