Patinka (verb) (pa-tēn-ka; from Lithuanian) - to feel attraction toward;
to enjoy or take pleasure in; to get pleasure from; to regard in a favorable way; to like.
This song is about the sublime harmony between opposites in the natural world and the sensual beauty of contrast in balance. We put it together with virtuoso accordeonist Martynas Levickis and the small community of Colombians living in Lithuania, three of which just happen to be barbers.
Very different realities come together effortlessly with sights and sounds from opposite sides of our planet. “Patinka” is about finding your place when you are out of place.
The Lithuanian language is amongst the oldest spoken today. We believe that a good way to preserve our cultural heritage is to share it, even if it finds itself in unconventional places or rolled off of unorthodox tongues.
“Patinka” is the first (and probably the last) Lithuanian word everyone should learn.

LYRICS
Mira mira mira la marea, que tierra abraza
Pulsa sobre la orilla, cubre con su manta
Escucha ese silencio, como ensordece, palpa la luz del alba, alfileres qué esclarecen
Patinka
Siente siente su silueta, como se menea
Fértil vibración que humeda procrea
Pilla pilla pilla como tu, pujas pa' lante
Arrasando monte, machete tajante.
Patinka
