The EU and the U.S. have led international condemnation of Kosovo's decision to send special forces to seize crossings on its shared border with Serbia. NATO-led peacekeepers have been deployed to help control the situation which is stoking ethnic tensions. Hundreds of people blocked main roads in response to Kosovar police seizing two disputed border crossings. One police officer was killed in overnight clashes. Kosovo says it's trying to enforce a ban on Serbian imports in response to a similar boycott of Kosovar goods. Balkans expert Marko Gasic thinks Kosovo has acted with the go-ahead from Washington.
