The making of the smallest nativity scene in the world, subjected to Guinness World Records.
Vilnius Gediminas Technical University "LinkMenų fabrikas", together with the private companies “Femtika” and “Idėja 3D”, have combined the technologies of scanning, 3D modeling and nano 3D printing to produce five copies of the nano-Nativity Scene. Full process allowing to reduce a physical object 10 000 times lasted over three months and was developed by VGTU students and professors. It took the team many hours of carefully scanning the original sculptures, modeling and post processing the data to finally be able to 3D print them and create sculptures that have been reduced to the size of an average human cell.
