I remain baffled by Mindaugas Kuzminskas' continued presence in the NBA. How is even here? His stats in Europe were nothing special. He looks like nothing special. His game is nothing special. By all accounts, he is nothing special, but here he is, playing in the best basketball league in the world. If anything, he gives hope to all the random Euroleaguers out there that if they try hard enough and get a little lucky, they too can achieve their NBA dream.
Is there something about this dude that I'm missing? He's succeeding in his (admittedly small) role, even though he had given no prior indication that he could hang in the NBA at all. I seriously don't know what's going on here. Steroids? Is it steroids? Probably not; Big Kuz is kind of twiggy looking. He must have a basketball IQ that is off the charts, or maybe he has some serious dirt on Adam Silver. One of the two. I can't come up with any other reasonable explanations.
