A miniature guide horse is being trained on the Tyne and Wear Metro in preparation for his first job helping a partially-sighted woman in London.
Riding the metro system in Newcastle will help Digby, a 20-month-old pony, to get used to the noise, people and train movements.
Horse trainer Katy Smith said Digby has shown he's ready for the job, "1,000 percent."
Soon-to-be owner Helena Hird said she wanted a horse to help her, rather than a dog, because of the animal’s longer life expectancy.
