I am getting a fair bit of flack all over for giving my dog peanut butter. It seems many people read the click bait worthy headlines about peanut butter being unsafe without actually reading the articles.
Xylitol is bad for dogs.
Xylitol is in almost no peanut butters (five specific ones IN THE WORLD have been found with it so far).
Xylitol is not in THIS peanut butter.
Some good reading on peanut butter and dogs:
"1. Peanut butter. A favorite treat of many canines. Not only is it a good source of protein, but it also contains heart healthy fats, vitamin B, niacin, and vitamin E. Stuff peanut butter into a Kong to keep your dog busy for hours. Choose raw, unsalted peanut butter."

"Peanut butter can help your dog’s body to operate with a high level of efficiency. It contains a balanced level of protein and carbohydrates including healthy fats, which pumps up the dog’s system with a boost of energy and stamina. Active dogs just love it. It’s great for humans and dogs alike. Take advantage of it’s omega fatty acid. Yes, this is found in peanut butter and it promotes health while reducing bad cholesterol in dogs."

"Peanut butter can be added to your regular dog food as a food supplement, because it contains Vitamin E (as mentioned above) and vitamin H (Biotin, another B vitamin). Vitamin H helps a lot in keeping your dog’s coat shiny, healthy and also helps your dog’s skin to stay healthy, just as it does in humans. It can also help in strengthening of the nails. On the other hand, Vitamin E can help your dog’s immune system, to help him fight against diseases, illnesses and sickness. As you can see, peanut butter actually has many good nutritional effects for your canine friend."
