Lily Allen takes a cue from Snoop Dogg! What's up guys, you're tuned in to your source for music news, ClevverMusic. 27-year-old British singer Lily Allen announced she is permanently changing her stage name to reflect her marriage to Sam Cooper. Her new moniker will be Lily Rose Cooper, the name she already uses on her Twitter account. The announcement comes just 5 days after Snoop Dogg announced he will officially be changing his name to Snoop Lion, after a Rastafarian priest gave him the new name.
The news from Lily comes in a statement from her publicist, who also officially announced that Lily is currently working on new material. Right now Lily is raising one year old daughter, Ethel, and announced last month, she is pregnant with her second child. We're stoked to hear new Lily music, which will no doubt reflect her recent marriage and motherhood.
Her third studio album will follow 2009's "It's Not Me, It's You" and Lily said about the new album, "It's great to work at my own pace, with no commitments other than to make music. I'm excited to be heading back into the studio."
We are EQUALLY excited for Lily, glad that she has now found personal success along with her already successful music career.
