Powered By http://www.junioreurovision.tv Nicole is a charismatic 13 year old girl from Mosta, Malta. She started her career at the tender age of seven when she represented Malta in the "Verdinote" Festival held in Italy and was placed second. A year later she jetted off to the "Ti Amo" festival held in Romania and then to the "Tralcio D'Oro" festival in Italy, where she placed first in both festivals. Nicole has also represented Malta in the famous International Children's Festival "Zecchino D'Oro" held annually in Italy. Her local success includes outstanding performances in popular festivals amongst which "Fl-Ghaqda l-Melodija" where she was honoured as the overall winner together with best presentation and choreography, "L-Ghanja tal-Poplu" and "L-Ghanja tal-Maltin". She participated in the Malta Junior Eurosong for the first time in 2007. Since then she continued taking part in this festival every year and has always been among the finalists. In this year's Malta Junior Eurosong Nicole has participated with a very catchy tune which incorporates a line from the Maltese traditional rhyme of "Bum Bum il-Bieb" meaning, knock, knock on the door; "Bum Bum il-bieb, ongi, ongi, ongella, Bum Bum il-bieb, Ongijo Kavallier". This will be the first song to introduce the Maltese language to the Junior Eurovision. The children's game "Bum Bum il-Bieb" is similar to a prince charming tale whereby, a beautiful damsel is chosen to be the wife of an itinerant Knight looking for love. As a teenager, midway between childhood and adulthood Nicole's song stresses that young people are the future and are already "knocking on tomorrow's door". Nicole is a member of Malta's leading choir "St. Monica's Choir". During these last two years Nicole formed part of the 500-strong choir which accompanied International Tenor Joseph Calleja and Michael Bolton in 2009 and again in 2010 with International Tenor Joseph Calleja, Dionne Warwick and Riccardo Cocciante. Nicole studies music and she was awarded distinctions by the Royal School of Music -- UK. Nicole is a fun loving lively girl. She enjoys listening to music, loves pets and possesses a dog, a bird, two dwarf rabbits and two cats!
