Thousands of people packed Rockefeller Center on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, to watch the 87th annual lighting of the Christmas tree.
The 77-foot Norway spruce came from Carol Schultz's property in the village of Florida in Orange County, New York. Schultz had the tree for more than 60 years.
The tree is wrapped by 5 miles of multicolored LEDs and topped with a Swarovski star covered in 3 million backlit Swarovski crystals.
